National Workshop in China to be held November 30 2005
The Chinese team plans to hold a daylong national workshop November 30 2005. The core issues to be addressed at the meeting the role universities play in the Chinese national system of innovation today, what challenges and opportunities the Chinese education system faces, and how innovation policy can stimulate the university to be more proactive as knowledge-producer, incubator and networker and how it can enforce the linkage and cooperation between universities, research institutes and industry.
Participation is expected to come from academia, policy bodies as well as industry and private sector. Examples of invited actors are;
- Policy Bodies: Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education,
- Universities: Tsinghua University, Peking University, Zhejiang University ,Beijing Normal University, University of S&T of China
- Research Institutes: Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Development Research Center of State Council,
National Research Center for S&T for Development(NRCSTD),
- Industry and Private Sector: Capitel Group, TianCe Group
